Caterina Murino born on September 15th, 1977 in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy is a beautiful Italian model, film, television and stage actress.
Caterina's childhood was filled with memories of absolute carefree life. She was very hyperactive in her growing years learning dancing, singing, horse-riding; and indulged in athletics and workouts that helped her to become one of the most fascinating movie actress and model.
Caterina Murino who dreamt of becoming a doctor, failed twice in her entrance exams to qualify into medical school. Caterina took a plunge into modeling via beauty pageants. To her pleasant surprise, Murino secured fourth place in 1996 Miss Italy beauty pageant. Thereafter she left for Milan where she began modeling and appeared in several commercials like Nescafe, Swatch, Mastercard, Mercedes Benz and several others. Later Caterina joined Scuola di Cinema e Teatro di Francesca de Sapio in Italy and studied acting from 1999-2000. She has appeared in Shakespearean play, Richard III and other Italian language stage plays.
Caterina Murino began her movie debut in 2002 with a German language made-for-television-movie "In der Mitte eines Lebens". Ever since, Murino appeared in several direct-to-video films, feature films, and television soaps. She got a breakthrough role in a French comedy movie "Enquete Corse, L'" in 2004. She shot into international fame with a starring role of a Bond girl named 'Solange' in "Casino Royale" in 2006. She said that the hangover of being a Bond girl is still there in her and loves the very thought of being a Bond girl. She also said that she likes to attend an event with all the Bond girls. She also had a recurring role in "Vientos de agua" [6 episodes: 2006]. Caterina Murino who lives in Paris is fluent in Spanish and English, besides speaking her native Italian.
